Gabriela is an emerging Chicago- based artist. contemporary artist working primarily in oil on canvas with a focus on still lifes and portraits. After studying film at DePaul University, she has used this experience and education when composing my work. Her art features vibrant colors, dramatic light and shadows, shallow depths of field, and strong forms. Gabriela create paintings to reflect on moments of transition in my life and to celebrate the more quiet moments in life.
