Gabriela is an emerging Chicago-based contemporary artist working primarily in oil with a focus on urban scenes and still lifes. After studying film and photography, she has used this experience when composing her work. Her art features vibrant colors, dramatic light and shadows, shallow depths of field, and strong forms. Gabriela creates paintings that reflect on quiet moments in the city and celebrate its many offerings (especially the cuisine).
